Study indicates Men and Women Handle Stress Differently
A study from the Yale University School of Medicine indicates that when under stress men are more likely than women to turn to alcohol. Researchers also found that women are more likely to talk about feelings of anxiety or sadness when under stress. The study confirms a pattern of behaviour that suggests that men tend to use avoidance strategies, like comsuming alcohol, while women tend to delve deeper into life's stressful experiences. The results are consistent with statistics that show greater alcohol related difficulties in men and greater levels of anxiety and depressive disorders in women. You can read more here.
